An Essential Guide to Coach Bags
Men’s small leather goods were Coach’s first focus in 1941, and women’s handbags arrived only later, going on to become the mainstay of the brand. Structured shoulder bags, relaxed hobos, satchels, carryalls, crossbodies and archive reissues all belong to the present-day range of coach handbags. This walkthrough takes each major line in turn, looking at what the bag is, when it appeared and how it is made. A number of well-known lines have no reliable launch year on record, so dates appear here only where they are documented.
Any price in this guide is an observed market price from 2026 instead of an entry on an official price list, and figures move with size, material and promotions. Anyone picking a first coach bag should be aware that near-identical names can cover completely different designs. Some shoppers type “couch bag” when running a search for a Coach bag, which can bring furniture pages into the results because the first word also refers to a sofa.
Tabby
Made as a structured shoulder bag with detachable straps and Signature “C” hardware, the Tabby works just as well crossbody. The designer Stuart Vevers brought it out in 2019, and its shape comes from Coach’s 1970s archive. The photographer Juergen Teller reportedly shot its launch campaign, “Dream It Real”. Product listings have shown sizes 20, 26 and 36, whereas the main product name is Tabby Shoulder Bag.
The padded Pillow Tabby followed in 2021, offered under names such as Tabby Shoulder Bag 26 With Pillow Quilting. On the US market the Tabby 26 was observed at $475, and in the UK at £475, with quilted and special-edition versions listed above it. Because it shifts easily between shoulder and crossbody wear, it is a good fit for buyers who want one bag for both day and evening.
The Brooklyn Line
Made in natural-grain leather, the Brooklyn is a slouchy coach shoulder bag which sits far closer to a hobo than to the structured Tabby. It was shown on the Fall 2024 runway and was launched in August 2024. Two main sizes have been reported, the Brooklyn 28 and the larger Brooklyn 39. Described as large enough for a 15-inch laptop, the 39 works as a practical www.couch-bag.com work bag.
A newer Brooklyn Carryall shape was reported for Spring 2026, and it is a different bag from the shoulder styles. On the UK market the Brooklyn 28 was observed at £350 via John Lewis. When The RealReal’s 2025 resale report said searches for Coach had risen 160%, the Brooklyn was among the bags cited, though that figure measures searches rather than resale prices.
The Rogue
Made with top handles and a shoulder strap, the Rogue is Coach’s firmly structured satchel. First shown on the Fall 2016 runway, the bag was eventually discontinued; a 2021 relaunch revived it. The line sits at the upper end of Coach’s leather range, with versions in regenerative leather and exotic skins. The steepest Coach bag price observed in 2026 came from a Rogue 25 in alligator, observed at $8,000.
Coach also offers a Made-to-Order Rogue, which has reportedly taken roughly 12 weeks, or around 16 weeks with exotic materials. Via Coach (Re)Loved, the brand’s own resale and repair program, restored Rogue bags have also appeared. For many collectors, the Rogue shows how far upmarket Coach craftsmanship can go.
The Empire Carryall Family
The Empire Carryall is a stretched-out, east-west top-handle bag named in listings as the Empire Carryall Bag 34. It was presented on Coach’s Fall 2024 runway and launched in February 2025. Fashion press reported that it was sold out on its release day. The structured Carryall 34 should not be confused with softer versions named Soft Empire, such as a Soft Empire 40.
On Coach’s own UK website, the Empire Carryall 34 was observed at £475. For everyday carrying, that long top-handle shape provides a more polished alternative to a coach tote bag. Anyone comparing listings should look at the number after the name, since 34 and 40 are different bags.
Kisslock Variants Compared: Frame, Dreamer and Barrel
Borrowed from vintage coin purses, the frame clasp named Kisslock is a detail that Coach associates with the Bonnie Cashin era. Avoid confusing the separate bags that share the word. Observed at $350, the Kisslock Frame Bag in glovetanned leather is reported to have been the opening look of the Fall 2026 show. As earlier Kisslock Frame versions also turn up in listings, the family may well predate that show.
Now, the Kisslock Dreamer 21 is seen largely as restored or upcrafted pieces through Coach (Re)Loved; it is an older style made with quilted nappa leather and rivets. Drawn from a 1973 design, the Kisslock Barrel Bag came as a Spring 2026 Coach Originals reissue. A Kisslock Backpack was also shown for Fall 2026, adding yet another use of the name.
The Swinger, the Swing Zip and The Coach Originals
The Coach Originals is a line of newly produced reissues of archive designs, so its bags are brand-new rather than vintage. The Swinger is a short-strap, zip-top shoulder bag featuring a turnlock, and Coach places the original design in 1987. The current version is the Swinger Bag 20, also available With Chain and in Signature canvas or jacquard. Based on a 1998 design, the Swing Zip is a separate Coach Originals bag, so the two names are not interchangeable.
Early 2025 reports named other Originals such as the Safari Bag from 1968, the Dinky from 1974 and the Hamptons Hobo from 2005. No later than 2020, the Coach Originals name was reportedly in circulation. The line fits buyers who want an archive look without the wear of a properly vintage piece.
Soho: Bag 25, Flap and Sneaker
Covering three different products, Soho ranks among the most confusing names in the Coach catalog. As far back as 2006, the original Soho Flap made its debut. Instead of being that 2006 bag, the Soho Bag 25 is a newer, smaller reissue, made in materials such as glovetanned leather, patent leather and crystal jacquard. A Soho Flap Bag in regenerative leather has also been listed, and Soho styles are part of The Coach Originals.
The Soho Sneaker, by contrast, is footwear that Coach has highlighted in 2025 and 2026, so it sits with shoes and coach clothing rather than handbags. To tell the bags apart from the shoe, add “Bag 25” or “Flap” to your search. No reliable current price for the Soho bags was captured, so consult Coach’s own website before buying.
The Willow, Cassie and Juliet Lines
View any launch date you see online with caution: these three lines are recognizable, but none has a documented launch year. Willow is a pebble-leather family that has taken in the Willow Tote 24, a Willow Bucket and a Willow Shoulder bag. Coach’s own website has also listed a Custom Willow Tote, and the Willow Tote 24 is a simple example of a coach tote bag. Offering a Signature turnlock and interchangeable straps, the Cassie Crossbody Bag 19 is one example of Cassie, a line of crossbody and top-handle bags.
Using newer style codes, Cassie styles have stayed listed on Coach’s own website. Offered in versions such as the Juliet Shoulder Bag 25 and the Pocket Juliet Bag 30, Juliet is a soft, slouchy shoulder bag in glovetanned leather. Availability changes by season, so verify whether a given Willow, Cassie or Juliet style is still current before trusting an older review.
Every Line at a Glance: Observed Prices
For every main line, the table below lists the shape, the key date and, where one was reliably captured, an observed 2026 price. These are observed market prices, not an official Coach price list, and they change with size, material, color and promotions. Sales tax is excluded from US prices, whereas VAT is part of UK prices. A coach outlet runs its own promotions on outlet styles, and full-price styles may be marked down during sales.
Coach Outlet is Coach’s own official channel, available through outlet stores and an official online outlet section on Coach’s own website. Around 85% of outlet merchandise was made specifically for the outlet channel, according to a 2014 quote from Coach’s head of investor relations. Since then, Tapestry has discussed bringing some full-price collection product into outlets, and that number is dated. A full-price coach store or Coach’s own website continues to be the place to shop for current-season lines.
